Sorry for the bulk update! I have been getting requests from family and friends to keep them posted on my growing bump….so here you go! Under each picture is the little questionnaire that I fill out weekly:
How far along? 17 weeks
Baby is the size of: an onion
Maternity clothes? still using the BeBand, but I think I will need some soon!
Stretch marks? nope – used my Bubble and Bee belly balm this week for the first time
Sleep: pretty good, when I get up in the morning I think I could sleep for like 3 more hours though..
Best moment this week: this past Tuesday (July 16th), I think I felt human for the first time in months! I even said to Albert, “I am actually not nauseated right now!” and he responded, “welcome back” – haha! But although I still have moments of nausea, I am so very thankful for feeling better.
Have you told family and friends? Yes!
Miss Anything? energy, lack of nausea
Movement: I seriously think I felt some movement. It was like little bubbles and even one distinct “kick”. Such an awesome feeling, but it was hard to be sure…
Food cravings: lemonade sounds good (especially the orange lemonade I made today!) and I had licorice at a friend’s and it was so good!
Anything making you queasy or sick: depends on the day. I have a hard time with strong flavors…they revisit me…
Gender Prediction: increasingly unsure…..girl?
Have you started to show yet? yes – at least Albert and I can tell. Tuesday was crazy. It was like the day I began to really show. I had intense abdominal stretching/pain. Yikes! It was rough. I guess the baby needed more room!
Labor Signs: nope
Symptoms: nausea, indigestion, lack of energy, sneezing when I eat (?!?), lots of bathroom breaks
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Weekly Wisdom: getting a shower and doing your hair/makeup can make a big difference in the way you feel, especially at the beginning when you don’t look super pregnant, just like you had one too many burritos….and avoid baggy shirts…they won’t hide your little bump and they make you feel frumpy/worse.
Looking forward to: finding out the gender and buying some maternity clothes that fit
Milestones: The baby’s sense of hearing develops this week!
How far along? 18 weeks
Baby is the size of: a sweet potato
Maternity clothes? still using the BeBand, but I think I will be ordering some soon.
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: sleeping well
Best moment this week: hearing the baby’s heartbeat again at my prenatal appointment. So blessed to have this little life growing inside of me. Side note: the royal baby was born this week!
Have you told family and friends? Yes!
Miss Anything? energy
Movement: little bumps and pokes now and then….so cool!
Food cravings: Chai Tea! Hello! I could put that stuff in an IV!
Anything making you queasy or sick: I am so grateful that I am not nearly as affected as I used to be by nausea, but sometimes I still struggle.
Gender Prediction: not sure…..girl? (found out today that Dan and Courtney are having a girl!! Yay!!)
Have you started to show yet? yes! A bit of a bump is definitely here!
Labor Signs: nope
Symptoms: indigestion, lack of energy, sneezing when I eat, lots of bathroom breaks
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Weekly Wisdom: get a body pillow! Even though you may not have a huge bump yet, they really help to make you comfy in bed. Be sure to get a cute cover too! (I got mine at Target).
Looking forward to: finding out the gender of our little one, and buying some cute maternity clothes.
Milestones: The baby can yawn, hiccup, suck and swallow!
