Ok……wow. I cannot believe I am halfway through this incredible journey! Here are the last two weeks of my updates:

19 weeks

How far along? 19 weeks

Baby is the size of: a mango

Maternity clothes? using the BeBand almost all the time…I want to get some Gap maternity clothes!

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: sleeping well, always want more. More tired than normal this week….

Best moment this week: When a friend from work came up and congratulated me on my pregnancy and instead of a horror story, he simply said, “It is great, you will love it” (referring to kids) – so refreshing!! Also, going blueberry picking/hiking with Albert and Otto. Otto did so well on the trails. Running ahead and coming back to check in. It was such a blessing to be out hiking and enjoying nature again! And last night (Saturday Aug. 3) Albert, Otto and I went on a sunset canoe ride (my first time out). So serene and lovely!!

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? energy, yes more energy needed!

Movement: yes! more and more. Evening seems like a more active time. This past week, we were at puppy training class and the baby was super active there!! Whoa! He/she must have liked the trainer’s voice . So fun! Today (Aug. 4) I think I felt a kick from the outside for the first time!!

Food cravings: Chai Tea is still  hit with me. Ice cream always sounds good! And pesto!!! Made it twice so far this season!

Anything making you queasy or sick: So much better than before! I do have a bad spell now and then…

Gender Predictionnot sure…..girl? But not sure. Al thinks a boy…

Have you started to show yet? yes. A little bump!!

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: indigestion, lack of energy, uncomfortable sleeping sometimes

Belly Button in or out? in

Wedding rings on or off? on

Weekly Wisdom: Show off your bump, even if it is little. It is a fun, but short stage! Enjoy it!

Looking forward to: finding out the gender of our little one, Albert being able to feel the baby move, and hopefully going to the Goschenhoppen Folk Festival this Saturday.

Milestones: The baby is developing a protective coating over their skin called vernix caseosa. It is greasy and white and may be visible at the birth.

20 weeks

How far along? 20 weeks, I can’t believe I am halfway there!!

Baby is the size of: a banana

Maternity clothes? still using the BeBand almost all the time…but constant adjusting of my shirts/pants is getting annoying

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: a little restless a few nights, harder time falling to sleep. Still wanting naps.

Best moment this week: enjoying the sights at the Goschenhoppen Folk Festival. It was so great to just walk around and take everything in. Even better – my Dad came to see us and we had a visit with him and some dear friends spent the evening with us! Wonderful to catch up.

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? energy, sleeping on my back, being able to eat with out it revisiting me 1,000 times.

Movement: yes! when I sit or lay down the little one begins moving the most. Felt a few kicks from the outside again. I can’t wait till Albert can feel it too!

Food cravings: Still enjoying Chai Tea occasionally. Had Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream Sunday night! Whoa amazing!

Anything making you queasy or sick: not really anything specific, but if I don’t eat consistently, nausea increases.

Gender Prediction…..girl? But not sure.  Al thinks a boy…

Have you started to show yet? yes.  A bump is here and growing!!

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: indigestion, lack of energy, lower back pain, and I had a charlie horse in my calf the other day…weird.

Belly Button in or out? in

Wedding rings on or off? on

Weekly Wisdom: Keep moving. Yoga, stretching, walking, whatever. I find when I don’t keep active, I feel less flexible and mobile.

Looking forward to: finding out the gender of our little one next week!!! Albert being able to feel the baby move, and dreaming more about my baby shower.

Milestones: The baby now has working taste buds!
