How far along? 23 weeks

Baby is the size of: a grapefruit

Maternity clothes? yes – it is so nice to have a bigger selection of things to wear. The BeBand is still nice for some things, but I am finding that maternity pants/shorts stay in place much better. And I was able to find some tops and dresses too, so it is wonderful to have things that fit. Very thankful!

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: sleeping well. I am finding I am having a harder time falling to sleep, but then I want to sleep in so bad!

Best moment this week: sharing the gender of our little girl with our family and friends Labor Day weekend! It was such a joy to see everyone’s faces and to celebrate together. I was overwhelmed with everyone’s kindness and helpfulness for the festivities. We loved being surrounded by so many loved ones.

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? energy, being able to sleep on my back…..

Movement: oh yes! So much fun. I usually feel the most movement when I sit/lay down. I love it!

Food cravings: grapefruit! So good. I sprinkle a little raw sugar on top and it is amazing! And hot tea with honey.

Anything making you queasy or sick: not anything specific, I just need to eat consistently.

Gender Prediction: Our little baby is a GIRL!!!!

Have you started to show yet? definitely. The cashier at a gas station even noticed! First stranger to mention it.

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: Lack of energy, my feet looked slightly swollen the other day after being on them all day…..but you must know I have extremely boney feet, so they really just looked a little less boney.

Belly Button in or out? in, but flattening!!

Wedding rings on or off? on

Weekly Wisdom: Take a nap if you need to and don’t feel bad about it! And put your feet up when you have been walking a lot. But also make sure you are stretching and doing yoga. I feel like I need to do it so much more!

Looking forward to: getting our little girl’s nursery all figured out! Decorating, picking out a crib….so much fun!

Milestones: Ears start to develop and her face and eyes are forming. She’s more aware, too, and is listening to my voice and heartbeat and other loud sounds. She may even move when she hears a familiar sound!
