So our recent travels, busyness of life, baby shower fun, and blog issues have majorly backlogged my bump updates! Excuses, excuses, I know. But I figure it is better to put them up late than never at all.

Here is a majorly long overdue catch up post of the recent bump updates I have missed. Now, as of today I am 33 1/2 weeks, so I do have a few lingering updates I will post in the next day or so. I wanted to share some photos from my baby shower for my family and friends that couldn’t be there, so that is in the works. And plus I still need to upload some pictures from my camera….

Anyway, we are looking forward to the holidays and I am having a hard time believing that Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away. Woah!

How far along? 25 weeks

Baby is the size of: a cauliflower

Maternity clothes? oh yeah. I actually pulled a bunch of my non-maternity clothes out of my closet and I am going to put them away for the next few months. I had to make room for my maternity stuff. I wore my regular jeans with my BeBand one day because I was washing my maternity jeans and it was definitely not comfortable at all – looks like it is maternity pants from here on out!

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: having a tougher time falling to sleep at night, but definitely craving sleep. I was blessed to be able to sleep in till almost 10:30 one morning – it was awesome!

Best moment this week: Finishing (well almost) our baby registry! I was so stressed about it. I guess I just want to think about every little detail and get it just right. But I was so thankful that my awesome sis-in-love Jennah sent me tons of suggestions. It made everything so much easier! What a blessing to have her advice. And hearing little Olivia’s heartbeat was wonderful at my prenatal appointment. So awesome.

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? not having lower back pain – yes it has seemed to have returned. Ugh. I need to go back to the chiropractor. And I miss having more energy.

Movement: Oh yeah. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I was about to take a nap and she was kicking like crazy. So fun!

Food cravings: I definitely enjoy rice pudding with cinnamon now and then. I finally had my hot apple cider the other night and it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Bummer. I guess I need some fresh pressed cider from my favorite orchard!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I definitely do best when I have eggs in the morning. Protein!

Have you started to show yet? Oh yeah. More and more.

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: lower back pain and low stretching pain – need more YOGA! Tiredness, bathroom breaks.

Belly Button in or out? in, but super flat and kinda sore lately.

Wedding rings on or off? on

Weekly Wisdom: Keep reading about birth, nursing, scheduling, etc. I need to keep reminding myself to sit down and read.

Looking forward to: vacation in Italy with Albert and my family. And a little babymoon in Paris with Albert on our way home. Excited and nervous all at once!

Milestones: She’s enjoying her new sense of equilibrium — she now knows which way is up and which is down. She’s growing more fat and more hair too!

Baby is the size of: a head of lettuce

Maternity clothes? For sure. It is amazing how once you get to a certain point how your body just continues to change. While here on vacation in Italy, shopping is interesting. Like a shirt I thought was beautiful I had purchased, but had to sort of guesstimate on how it would fit later….hopefully I got the right size! But dresses and my Gap maternity jean leggings are awesome!

Stretch marks? no

Sleep: It has been great. After walking and touring places in Italy all day, sleep is so wanted!

Best moment this week: so many! Sharing in the beauty of Italy with my family, seeing ancient places like the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano, the Isle of Capri. Watching as my family enjoyed the beautiful Italian scenery and as my Mom was able to realize a few of her dreams – seeing the Sistine Chapel, the Farangoli Rocks (pictured above), and the Isle of Capri.

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? energy.

Movement: Oh yes! Our little girl must really like Italy (or the gelato I am eating!). Tons of movement. We love it! Albert got to see my belly move tons and so did my family, so fun. Once I had on a long necklace with charms on it and she was kicking so hard that the charms were moving!

Food cravings: Italian gelato. And I am super bummed that I won’t be able to get it back home. There is a gelato place in Rome called “Lemongrass” and it is amazing! Their fruit flavors were incredible and the Nutella flavor was unreal. And on another note – the buffalo mozzarella here is amazing!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Well it seems like I have been more queasy than normal this week – lack of magnesium? Or could it be that I have been riding on planes, trains, boats and in vans (along the windy Almafi Coastal road), just maybe…..

Have you started to show yet? Oh yeah. I guess I am definitely showing, as over here I have been given numerous bus and train seats due to being pregnant. It is so neat to see other cultures and the kindness they will show to a stranger. I suppose having a baby crosses all sorts of boundaries *warm fuzzies*

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: Well they have been numerous: swollen feet and ankles (from walking/touring all day), nausea (motion sickness from travel), exhaustion from going all day long, and I have a cold – not to do with pregnancy, but it stinks nonetheless. Adds to my exhaustion.

Belly Button in or out? still in, but majorly flattening.

Wedding rings on or off? on, but my hands have been a little swollen at the end of the day.

Weekly Wisdom: Wear supportive shoes! Ugh. I have been walking so much lately and apparently my shoes are not supportive enough. Sore feet and swollen ankles – but they may have been swollen either way…who knows?

Looking forward to: Continuing our tour of Italy and then Paris! It is tiring, but wonderful to see all of these incredible places.

Milestones: The baby’s eyes are forming, and will soon start to open. And her eyelashes are now grown, too. She’s getting her immune system ready for life on the outside by soaking up my antibodies. She’s taking breaths, too. They’re of amniotic fluid, not air, but it’s still good practice.

How far along? 27 weeks

Baby is the size of: a rutabaga

Maternity clothes? Oh yeah. I am still wearing a few regular tank tops, which is nice. But everything else is definitely maternity at this point. I am beginning to have my favorites too. Certain pairs of my maternity jeans are way more comfortable than others.

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: sleeping well – it might have a lot to do with the crazy amount of walking we are doing each day to see the sights.

Best moment this week: Seeing the tears of joy as my Mom saw the Faragnoli Rocks from the top of Capri. So awesome to be a part of her realizing that dream.

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? sleeping on my back, having more energy, and being able to grab a sandwich while traveling.

Movement: Oh yeah! She is having a blast – especially in the mornings. Doing some kickboxing or something. I love it!

Food cravings: Well gelato for one, and I would love some apple cider from home!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I am noticing that I have to eat smaller meals more often lately. I can start to feel queasy when I don’t eat for a while and then attempt to have a large meal.

Have you started to show yet? Oh yeah. People definitely notice now. I have been given bus seats many times.

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: swollen and sore feet from walking a bunch and tiredness too.

Belly Button in or out? in, but way flat.

Wedding rings on or off? on – just more snug at the end of the day.

Weekly Wisdom: put your feet up whenever you get the chance – it helps with swelling.

Looking forward to: Exploring Paris! (Notre Dame is pictured above.) And I am so curious what our little baby looks like. Majorly looking forward to seeing her!

Milestones: The baby is practicing inhaling and exhaling with her rapidly developing lungs. And she is showing brain activity! And her brain will keep on getting more complex.

How far along? 28 weeks

Baby is the size of: an eggplant

Maternity clothes? yes – dresses and my Gap jean leggings are awesome right now. And accessorizing with scarves!

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: sleeping well. Especially at the end of a long day of exploring Paris!

Best moment this week: Seeing the Eiffel tower light us at night in Paris! So romantic. It is so cool to think that our little lady has already been so many places! (And the above photo is back in the good old USA)

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? energy, sleeping on my back, no swollen feet.

Movement: Yes! And it is  awesome!! Lately she has been doing morning TaeBo. My belly really gets moving!

Food cravings: The hot chocolate we had at a cafe in the Bastille area of Paris. it was absolutely amazing. It came with a thick chocolate syrup poured into the bottom of a mug (very artfully I might add) and with a small pitcher of hot steamed milk to pour in. There was even cocoa sprinkled on the top of the steamed milk – so pretty. After pouring in the milk and stirring it up – whoa. So good!

Anything making you queasy or sick: not anything specific, just need to eat consistently.

Have you started to show yet? Oh yeah. For sure.

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: Lack of energy, mostly.

Belly Button in or out? in, but flatter.

Wedding rings on or off? on

Weekly Wisdom: when traveling by plane while pregnant always be sure to get up and move every hour or two. It is good for circulation. Compression socks are not a bad idea either.

Looking forward to: the baby shower is coming up!! So excited. And I can’t wait until Albert gets the nursery all ready for me to decorate!!

Milestones: Our baby is starting to develop more fat, so her wrinkly skin will start to get smoother. Her lungs are almost mature as well!

How far along? 29 weeks

Baby is the size of: an acorn squash

Maternity clothes? yes – with the cool weather beginning, I have discovered some more options for clothes this week. I will probably be able to get a bit of use out of my fall sweaters as autumn moves in! Yay! I was also able to wear a favorite plaid button-up shirt of mine the other day too. But by the end of the day the buttons on it looked like Paddington bear’s – a little under stress. Haha!

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: sleeping well. I just want so much of it!

Best moment this week: Enjoying the absolutely gorgeous fall weather. It was awesome!

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? energy, sleeping on my back, and not having crazy indigestion.

Movement: Oh yes! She is super active and having so much fun in there. Loving it!

Food cravings: I really wanted to have homemade yogurt lately. I am so glad I had the energy to make it! It was wonderful. And I had a craving for granola on top, of course. So I made that too.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I get a little queasy now and then….not sure why.

Have you started to show yet? Yes – definitely.

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: Lack of energy, low stretching pains, more bathroom breaks…

Belly Button in or out? in, but flattening!!

Wedding rings on or off? on

Weekly Wisdom: Getting outside on sunny days always seems to make me feel a bit more energized. So I say get outside if you can!

Looking forward to: Nursery decorating for sure. And the baby shower! Being able to see everyone will be so awesome.

Milestones: Our baby is growing fast and getting more cramped. Also, she is growing white fat deposits under her skin and her energy is surging because of it.

How far along? 30 weeks

Baby is the size of: an cucumber

Maternity clothes? Yes, but I did find a few regular fall tops that are still working for me at the moment. And I think I need to order a few more maternity pants. At the moment I only have one pair of jeans that are comfortable. It makes slim outfit options lately….

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: sleeping well. I feel like I could sleep around the clock these days!

Best moment this week: A nice date out with Albert for dinner. It was good to just sit and catch up on life.

Have you told family and friends? Yes!

Miss Anything? energy, sleeping on my back…

Movement: So much movement lately! We have both been feeling elbows and lots of acrobatics. It has been a blast! I will be laying in bed and feel these huge movements. I think I even felt her head pressing out too!

Food cravings: Still loving yogurt and milk. But after work Tuesday night I really wanted pizza in the worst way. So I went home and made cheese quesadillas for us and we dipped them in tomato sauce. Improvisation!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just random queasiness.

Have you started to show yet? Yes – oh yes!

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: Lack of energy, but I had a crazy energy burst at work this week. It was so nice!! Low stretching pains, more bathroom breaks, rough indigestion, and weird dreams!! I don’t dream much (or can’t remember if I do), but Wednesday morning I woke up and had like 4 dreams. One was crazy where I saw the baby was kicking and I saw a perfect outline of her foot and her head pushing out way far too! So wild.

Belly Button in or out? in, but flat.

Wedding rings on or off? on

Weekly Wisdom: Stretch! Man I feel like I need to do four hours of yoga per day. Seriously.

Looking forward to: Baby shower this weekend! Yay! And nursery and house deco. So fun!

Milestones: Our baby’s skin is getting smoother while her brain gets more wrinkly – getting ready for all of that brain tissue! And she is now strong enough to grasp a finger. So amazing!
